Reading real life stories has always been interesting for me. I find each and every one of them special and unique in its own way.
So here is my story and I am so excited and proud to share it with you:
My life experience with all its ups and downs has shaped the person and the coach I am today. I am a strong woman and I would not have known this strength had I not accepted all the challenges and risks that came my way.
At the age of 11, my family and I migrated from my homeland Iran to the United Arab Emirates.
Suddenly I was exposed to this cosmopolitan country and the multicultural society and my journey as a global citizen had begun. This move was my first true challenge and I knew I had to adapt to a whole new way of life.
I learnt from that young age that the secret of connecting to other human being lies in respecting and understanding others’ view point without any judgment.
Ever since, diversity and flexibility became a part of my life. I have always enjoyed being in contact with people of different nationalities and ethnicities and never stopped learning from them.
After receiving my Bachelor’s degree from Business School, I started my career as a book salesperson. I was attracted to this career as I love reading books. This was my first exposure to work environment and I was keen to perform my best and achieve the highest sales figures. Two years into the job, I realized I had not read one page due to my lack of time and increasing pressure to sell more!
After this experience, I spent the next 15 years moving from one corporate role in Sales, Marketing and HR to the next, always in search of the right job for me.
It was only when I interviewed many people in my role as a consultant in a Talent Management Program that I noticed how so many people did not like their jobs and when asked what they rather do, they frequently had no answer.
It was a big revelation for me to realize that I had never been happy, no matter how successful I was in my roles.
The few whom were passionate about their jobs, were happier, more motivated and lead a healthier lifestyle, inspired me. An “Aha” moment had landed upon me and I embraced it.
I really wanted to help people realize and optimize their potential, learn what gives them satisfaction, create value and find their place in the world.
As a result I started searching for what makes me alive. I knew what gave me energy was to be engaged in a job that involved inspiring people. I was passionate about this endeavor and I knew I would be good at it.
Around the same time I coincidently met a life coach and immediately decided to become her client. My life coach empowered me to explore my true passion and my life started to change for the better. I researched and learnt further about coaching and how it serves people. I felt this was my calling.
A few months later, in 2008, I left my long corporate career and commenced my journey to become a coach. By 2010, I became a Certified Coach (CPCC) by the world renowned Coaching Training Institute (CTI) and I chose my niche as career coaching.
As a career coach, I work with individuals from all walks of life, working on their career choices and lifestyle. I am determined to partner with my clients and work toward bringing them work satisfaction, to help them do what they love, to put their time and energy in what they are passionate about and create magical results.
I am now as happy as a person can be. Coaching does not even feel like working as it is so much in line with whom I am, and I enjoy every minute of it.
I believe in what I do and in intrinsic power and potential of all people. I believe in unlimited possibilities and transformation.
I chose butterfly as my company’s logo because this symbol signifies transformation and goes with it the famous quote that says:
“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly.” ~Richard Buckminster Fuller
There’s a butterfly in each of us, we just need to let it grow and “Dare to fly”…
